A New Vision for Transit-Oriented Community Building

Starklands represents one of Toronto's most ambitious city-building initiatives, transforming a former industrial property into a vibrant, mixed-use community centered around the future St. Clair–Old Weston GO/SmartTrack Station. Designed to create a complete, walkable neighbourhood, the project integrates new residential communities, employment opportunities, retail destinations, public parks, and an enhanced transportation network to support Toronto's long-term growth. The master-planned development includes a mix of high-rise towers, mid-rise buildings, townhomes, commercial and office space, significant public open space, and a network of new streets and pedestrian connections designed to reconnect the surrounding neighbourhoods. The proposal also supports major public infrastructure improvements, including extensions to Keele Street, Gunns Road, Union Street, and enhanced cycling and pedestrian connections that will improve access to transit and strengthen connectivity throughout the area.
